This double bass pickup is a piezo sensor embedded in a brass cone, which is inserted into a specially drilled conical hole in the bridge. By turning the brass cone in the bridge hole, the sound can be adjusted; even a small twist makes an audible difference. Hardly any other pickup offers this simple option of “acoustic-physical” tone control.

Special tools (a conical cello reamer) are required to install the Bassbalsereit pickup. You can send us your bridge for installation, or bring your bass to our workshop by appointment.
