Description
Presto Jazzicato strings are a further development of our popular Presto nylon wound strings, which are appreciated by many bass players as an easy alternative to the gut string. They are based on an improved steel rope core, and are wound with a black nylon material. Compared to our classic nylon wounds, the Jazzicatos are slightly thinner in diameter, but still have a better grip than conventional steel strings. This pleasant feel and the comparatively low string tension ensure fatigue-free playing. The strong, dark sound, the percussive “punch” and an unobtrusive sustain give it its very own character and make it an ideal string for jazz pizzicato, but also for slap bass and bluegrass. The use of tungsten (tungsten) achieves a slightly higher tensile stress and a longer sustain with a smaller diameter. This makes the Jazzicato Tungsten sound and play a little more “modern”.
