Description

Alfred Gustav Meyer (*1872 †1947) founded his workshop for highly esteemed cellos and double basses in Markneukirchen in 1904. In the same year, his son and later apprentice Alfred Kurt Meyer was born. He worked with his father, received his master craftsman’s certificate in 1932 and concentrated on the production of concert cellos and double basses after his father’s death. His instruments have the same printed notes, plus a brand stamp below the reed.
