Moser height adjusters M8 (MPMN)

87,50

The MPM height adjusters are a flexible connection between the bridge and bridge feet, which guarantees that the bridge feet rest firmly on the top of the body. This results in a level increase across the entire sound spectrum, as confirmed by the test results of the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesprüfanstalt (federal technical testing institute) in Braunschweig/Germany: “… When using the variable bridge, overall level improvements can be heard across the entire sound range without changing the basic resonance character of the double bass. These improvements are even more pronounced in the upper treble than in the fundamental range. This gives the sound of the instrument a greater overall volume and, above all, a clearer contouring or brilliance.” The bearing of the (new) M8 model is housed in the bridge foot bore, whereby the bore wall only allows a limited tilt angle of the screw. This stability is particularly advantageous with soft strings.
