In collaboration with bassist Chuck Israels, Peter Axelson developed a double bass microphone that is specially optimized for live situations. It is particularly resistant to feedback and is characterized by very low crosstalk. The best results are achieved when it is positioned as close as possible to the double bass – the H-clamp is best suited for this.
“Peter Axelsson has developed a mic that rejects enough extraneous sound that it is practical to use in live situations and in recordings with little to no isolation baffling. The quality is excellent and I can amplify the bass even louder than I need it.“ – Chuck Israels
